I'm a down to earth yoga teacher (RYT200) who knows as much about proper alignment and anatomy, as yoga philosophy and creating a good atmosphere in class. Recognizing different levels and body types, I am able to adjust classes to anyone's wants and needs. 


Despite the fact I do think I look fairly good in fancy leggings, I don't believe that is what yoga is about. Nor do I feel it's about looser hamstrings or firmer abs - which you will get by regular practice, btw.


(A part of) yoga is the discipline to control your body. As a result, you gain control over your mind as well. You stubbornly dedicate and devote yourself to the postures, overcoming mental limitations and distractions from your senses. It is mastering your mind through your body.
